Cube trays are built for glasses. A bottle has a narrow mouth and a long body, so the ice needs a different shape.

Questions, answered

Which tray do I need?

The 1L & 2L tray makes long sticks for our 1L and 2L bottles. The 4L & 6L pack makes round pucks for the jugs. Match the tray to the Pal you own and it drops straight in.

Will it actually fit through the opening?

Yes. Each tray is moulded to clear the mouth of the bottles it is made for. That is the entire reason it exists.

How many pieces do I need per bottle?

One stick fills a 1L and two fill a 2L. For the jugs it is two pucks for a 4L and three for a 6L.

What is it made of, and can it go in the dishwasher?

Food-grade silicone, BPA free. Dishwasher safe, or just rinse it and refreeze. The silicone flexes so the ice pops out without cracking the tray.

Why one big piece instead of cubes?

A single piece has far less surface area than a dozen cubes, so it holds its shape longer and waters your drink down more slowly.

How long does the ice last?

That comes down to the bottle more than the tray. In an insulated Aussie Pal, independent logger testing had our 1L holding 0.5°C for the first 24 hours and still cold past 30.
